How It Works
1. Submit Your Script
Upload a short, character-driven script following the requirements below. Our team reviews submissions on a rolling basis.
2. Selection & Scheduling
If your script is selected, we contact you with next steps and plug it into an upcoming class cycle.
3. Rehearsal & Development (In-Class)
OFA actors rehearse, explore blocking, workshop character choices, and prepare the scene across four weeks using our studio’s 4-day class structure.
4. Production Day
Scenes are filmed like a real set using:
Dual-camera rehearsal
Cinematic lighting
Focus puller & boom operator
Professional color grading & editing
5. Screening & Celebration
All produced scripts are screened at OFA as part of our community showcase.

Submission Requirements
To keep scripts producible within our in-studio workflow, all submissions must meet the following:
Length: 1–2 pages
Cast: 2–4 characters
Locations: Simple, flexible setups that can be filmed inside OFA
Format: Standard screenplay format (PDF only)
Original Work: You must own all rights
Content Boundaries: No hate speech or explicit sexual content
Professional Formatted
PDF files
These guidelines allow us to make the strongest possible scenes with the resources we commit to our classes.
-
Writers keep full ownership of their script. By submitting, you grant OFA permission to produce, film, edit, and screenthe scene in class, and to use the final footage for educational, promotional, and portfolio purposes for OFA and participating actors. No rights are transferred — just a non-exclusive license to create and showcase the work.
