FAQs
-
OFA Studios is founded and led by Kylr Coffman — a working actor currently coming off leading Live Nation’s Green Day feature film, "New Years Rev," premiering at TIFF.
This matters because you’re not learning from someone who used to act.
You’re learning from someone who’s actively booking roles, working on sets, and bringing that experience directly into the classroom. -
We train the way film sets operate.
OFA is built on a one-room schoolhouse approach — because that’s how real acting works.
There are no levels on set. No “beginners over here, advanced over there.”
You’re expected to show up, adapt, collaborate, and rise to the room.We believe that outdated “level systems” hurt actors more than help them.
So at OFA, everyone trains together — with intentional structure, support, and honest coaching. And unlike most studios, we shoot on cinematic cameras every month, giving actors real footage, not classroom tapes.
-
No.
Levels are outdated and don’t exist on real sets. Our classes operate like a one-room schoolhouse — everyone trains together, learns from each other, and grows at their own pace.
This is how actors are treated in the industry, so this is how we train. -
In the Plaza District of Oklahoma City.
A creative home surrounded by artists, businesses, and working filmmakers. -
OFA is not a casting company and will never operate as “pay-to-play.”
But because we’re deeply connected to working filmmakers, we often receive casting calls, crew calls, and audition opportunities — and when appropriate, we pass them along to our community.
You’re never paying for access.
You’re paying to train. -
No.
All you need is hunger, discipline, and respect for the room. We’re a mixed-class environment — beginners work alongside people who book work.
That’s the point. -
We allow make-ups for:
Industry-related absences (auditions, bookings, callbacks, set work)
Emergencies
Absences communicated in advance
What we don’t accommodate:
Last-minute no-shows, avoidable conflicts, or repeated schedule issues. Our staff is extremely busy and our classes are in high demand.
We respect your time — so we expect the same in return. -
Notebook, water, comfortable clothes, and a willingness to work.
Scripts change monthly — we give everything you need. -
We give you the training, footage, community, and professionalism that helps actors sign and book — but we never guarantee representation.
We do help you understand the business side, prepare materials, and take your career seriously.

Is OFA right for me?
If you want:
Real growth
Real on-camera training
Real footage
A community that wins together
Leadership from a working actor
…then yes.
If you want hand-holding, shortcuts, or ego strokes — this is not the studio for you.
